Wow… that’s hypnotic. Strange how it all seems to flow far more smoothly than would a british junction with a similar amount of traffic that has been burdened with traffic lights. Or without them, even. Hardly anyone there has a license worth the name, and yet, no collisions in all of this mess… (yes I know the Indian crash and death rate is chronic, but you wouldn’t think so to look at this).
Still, you wouldn’t want to be the guy crossing the road at the lower right from about 0’30″ onwards…
Yeah, maybe this 2:13 minutes of footage flows smoothly. But I suspect this cam was set up to capture the big WHAMMMO that is bound to happen at any second.
There’s research that suggests what you say is true: more signs, lights, lane markings actually are counterproductive and people pay less attention to their driving. Experiments with removing traffic controls, and even (in England) removing the distinction between sidewalk and street, seem to result in slower driving because people have to be more careful.
So cute. Reminds me of the time my friend and I combined litters of Holland Lops (hers was planned; mine was a rescue doe who had five babies two days after I took her in)–there were like nine of them and they were just like this… And when one little guy decided it was nap time and ran for a nest box about half the others followed him at top speed; babies from both litters all piled in the box and feel asleep in a heap. CUTE.
Cutest invasion EVAH! <3
I love the white bunny that sticks his foot right in front of the camera… and then later it seems like the gray bunbun tries to eat the camera.
I watched this video with no sound, and I started imagining trafic noises…
[bunny runs by camera] WROOM!
[two bunnies almost collide] HONK HONK!
Hee.
Hee is right–that’s funny! After I read your post, I had to try this too. It made me think of that wacky video of bike and car traffic in India.

Hello L, do you have pics from the sleeping pile?
Those bunnies cheered me up, it made my day!
I love the total pointlessness of all the rushing around.
Goodness! It’s an entire CADRE of Flollops!
Is there some way I can get this as my screensaver?!
They look like hopping Tribbles… awesome!
Sad day! The video’s not loading. Hope it’s back up later!
I SO want a tribble!
