so many precious animals get put to sleep each year because everyone wants a purebreed…you should have a day to appreciate the lovable mutts and mixes…more animals to love at less cost and the chance to save lives

yes, i know. i work at a shelter. it is SO HEARTBREAKING to see how many sad faces come in our doors, but thank god we are a no-kill, so everyone who leaves is someone who has found a forever family. but not all dogs have the same chances.
i believe labraday is amazing, its the best day of the week. with that said, of course i have two labs — a black & a chocolate. both are shelter pups!
but i think a muttday or a shelter dog day would be amazing– i think everyone should go to petfinder.com & find the cutest puppy. if it makes it to the website, maybe post some adoption info? this website gets a ton of pet-loving traffic.
