What kinda cat is this? And why is he so good at color coordination?

D’awwwww ^.^
Looks like he bit off more than he could chew.
I think he’s a baby cerval (sp?) cat. They are native to Africa. When he grows up, he’ll have tufts on his ears
Ah, serval seems to be right. http://www.hdw-inc.com/servalcub1servalsorg.jpg
Why is it the wildcats who’ll rip your face off always have cute sad expressions as babies that makes you want to love on them ANYWAY?
I dunno, but I want to snorgle this fuzzy guy.
It’s a BABY!!!!! A baby what, I don’t know. Possibly a bobcat.
Looks like a serval or a serval hybrid, called a Savannah.
I want one of those so bad!!
The ears/face shape/coloration really don’t seem entirely right for a serval, to me… but I’m stumped as to what else it could be. Almost looks a little lion-ish. Maybe some sort of serval/domestic cat mix?
no that would be a Savannah and it definitely isnt that
According to Wikipedia, there are certain breeds of domestic cats which, when bred with a serval, produce the “acceptable” Savannah cat breed. This includes the Egyptian Mau, Ocicat, Oriental shorthair, and domestic shorthair. Other breeds aren’t really used because they may have “unwanted genes”. That does NOT mean that you couldn’t mate a different breed of domestic cat with a serval and wind up with unusual looking cat that, by definition, is a savannah cat.
Honestly, my guess is that this is either an unusual cross for a savannah cat, or some other breed of wild cat that hasn’t been mentioned. Its ears seem a bit too large for a lynx/bobcat, it doesn’t have dark enough markings to be a serval (and is too fluffy)…
I’m just not sure what he is! Well… besides ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE.
hey, my name is kim! and i’m MALE!!! *pout* >_< anyway, i think that is just a jungle cat

lol, the person who uploads pictures may have got the creature right
definitely a serval kitten! and what a kewtee it is too!
It is a Jungle Cat as described, I’ve taken care of lots of those little guys. I’ve raised African Servals and Bobcats, and they look nothing like a Jungle Cat. Servals are very very spotty from birth on, while Jungle vets are tan. ; )
I agree! It’s a Jungle Cat!
the serval- house cat mix is called savannah.
That could be possible.

Could be any of several species of small wild cat, but since the post was titled “Baby Jungle Cat”, I sort of figured it was a baby Jungle Cat.
I want to boop her nose!! <3
And nom those ears!!!
NOM DE PLUME
Hahaha, yessss!
COMMENT OF THE WEEK
*chuckle* good one.
Correction: Jungle Cats, not vets! LOL ; )
It is, possibly, a Savannah Cat, a Serval-Housecat mix.
It is a Jungle Cat, that is the name of a particular species of wild cat. They are tan, a little taller than most house cats, their ears and noses are bigger too. My friend has a rescue sanctuary and she has quite a few of them. They are usually aloof and very proud and regal. Graceful too.
Another vote for Jungle Cat!
It doesn’t quite look like a serval. The eyes are too close together, and it’s much fluffier than the ones I saw at London Zoo a couple of years ago.
Cute boopable widdle bebe!! I’d love to boop the bebe’s belly!!!
D’awww! Look at the little lynx!
Anuzzer vote for jungle cat. Fur color corresponds, and servals have lighter fur with black spots and they have a big black nosie.
Who cares? I just wanna give ‘im cuddles & tastier noms than his plume…!
that is absolutely a Serval.
I vote for Savannah Cat. And/or AWESOME GINGER!!!
Jungle cat
Totally a serval kitty with a whole lotta squee!!!
I own a serval that I raised from a kitten and I can tell you for certain this isn’t one, nor is it a Savannah, caracal, or bobcat. Jungle cat would seem to be a good bet.
if it is what I think it is, it’s a kind of cat we have in sweden, called Lodjur, don’t know the english name!
