  1. Joanna says:

I used to have a rabbit who did that. They like the salt. It’s lots better than a cat licking you. Bunnies don’t have rough tongues.

  2. Karu says:

Actually, it’s a common misconception that rabbits eat lettuce. They can eat spinnach greens, and dandelion greens, but lettuce is harmful to their stomaches and could poison them.

    • Brigid says:

Romaine lettuce and some of the darker lettuces are fine, just don’t feed them iceberg lettuce or cabbage. That’s what’s bad for them. Gives them gas.

  3. Sarah says:

I didn’t know bunnies had tongues that long!

  4. Brigid says:

All the better to disapprove of you with! lol Yeah, they have quite the long, thin tongues. Very smooth, too.

    • Meagan says:

My rabbits’ tongues were rough, not very much, but I wouldn’t consider them smooth. Oh well, different rabbits, different tongues. :)

  5. Responder says:

    mmmm….carrot flavored human…mmmmm

  6. Emma says:

  7. Erin says:

  8. Meagan says:

Ngaww!!! I miss my bunnies! They always did this. I agree with Erin, its really hard to get a picture, cause they lick so fast. I miss you guys, Cocoa and Charcoal!!! <3

  12. Fluffster says:

Bunnies definitely do this. Our bun will lick the end of my nose if I put my head down close to her. She’s got very tickly whiskers!

  13. Gastornis says:

In Soviet Russia… This still doesn’t make sense.

  14. librarycat says:

I read that bunny licks mean “I love you” Ahhh….

  15. yolanda says:

It’s not for salt, it’s for love! Taste the LURRRVEEE fuzzbucket! I let rabbits live in my house and when they fall in love with me I get bunny kisses on demand. If they want salt they’ll lick their mineral stones. Bunnies groom the ones they love.

    • Brigid says:

Funny thing, my bunny never showed any interest in his mineral stone. But he was very interested in my fingers after I’d eat sea salt and vinegar potato chips. (And bunnies are supposed to dislike vinegar. Silly bunny.) He also grooms me if he feels like it.

  16. Darliing says:

    Somebunny loves youu ^^

  17. Mittens says:

My bunny licked my fingers sometimes – his tongue was so warm! Other times though he just nibbled my fingertips with his adorable bunny teeth :)

  18. B says:

Bunnies will lick your fingers and plates, etc. if you have salt on them. But they also groom you, which is an affectionate bunny thing. We kiss, they groom. They will also nip or bump if you’re not rubbing in the right spot. So squee!!

  19. Personage says:
