    even the little baby ones have a very tiny bite though! and very strong tentacles.
    all octopi have poison, though most are not deadly to humans.
    this guy is a cutie.

    definitely a baby, that’s why he’s so clear, the pigments haven’t fully developed yet. and given his size, a human probably wouldn’t even feel the bite, or it wouldnt hurt much.

      i was actually bitten by a baby one just a little bit bigger than him, and it definitely hurt.

      Octopuses sounds a lot like octopussy.

    Does anyone know the hatchling’s species. I am quite sure it is neither O. mercatoris nor O. briareus but is must be a large egged octopus.

    In Australia, the plural of octopus is “octopi”. Not sure if it is the same in America.
