I’m posting this guy on Wednesday even though he’s not quite a Whatsit, because I just googled “Shrew long nose” and found out what he is! He’s an Elephant Shrew! So you see he’s smart like an elephant but small like a shrew. I’d pay 50 dollars for one!

It’s so cute! I would like to tickle it’s little nose-cone. lol
The most amazing thing about shrews is that they are not rodents — and the most amazing thing about Elephant Shrews is that they are not shrews! In fact, Elephant Shrews are related to hyraxes and, by extension, to actual elephants. Weird and fascinating….
Nawt shrew? Den iz okai. Reel shrews iz bery bitey.
It looks like someone pulled his nose until his little eyes bugged out! S’okay…more to boop!
Thanks, HC! That’s a very shrewd comment.
Heh-heh… sorry. No, really, I absolutely didn’t know that.
^_^
If you think he’s super cute, go on Youtube and find some footage of one of these little guys in action! Thier Nose movements are a thousand times cuter than you’d imagine!
i like elephant shrews cause they wiggle they’re noses and its so squee
Such a fascinating creature. Love those little corn flake ears but where’s his mouth?
Would that make him…. shrewd?
Actually, these lil cuties are no longer referred to as Elephant Shrews by most of the scientific community.
The English name was scrapped in favor of the traditional African name, sengis.
STILL TOTALLY SQUEE THOUGH.
