Listen Very Closely For the Squeest Sound Ever

GASP! We might have a new contendor for “the cutest sound in the universe!” This duck snoring sounds SO CUTE! How could I NOT post this today? It’s a fluffy friday AND the last day of the duck spree.

Have a great weekend everybody! (PS: Ever since we ended Labraday, we’ve scaled back to 3 weekend posts, but now it’s back up to 6! Be sure to come back tomorrow!)

    Okay. That’s pretty damn squeetastic.

  2. Kendra says:

    Awww! What cute little snores!

  3. Katie says:

OMG! So cute! And my dog just came in the room looking around like ‘where’s the baby?!’ Such a momma dog..

    • Kay says:

Sami woke up and was looking around for it too. Must just be something about sleepy babies.

    • Kerflumpy says:

Me too – my cat is lying here next to the puter, but when I played this he was looking around, and got up to investigate behind the monitor. I don’t think it was his maternal instincts tho…

  4. Gigi says:

Oh my squee! I didn’t even know ducks COULD snore!

  5. Andrea Faye says:

Those are cuter than even my cat’s snores. :D !!

  6. Princessalex says:

OMG! I’m afraid I would never get anything done with that duckling around. I’d be sitting right next to it, listening to those ridiculously cute sleeping sounds! :-)

  7. DaMamaJama says:

Why’d they wake him/her up? That was adorable!

  8. Lax69 says:

It sounds like that little ugly duckling that was trying to get Tom to eat him on that old Tom & Jerry cartoon.

  9. Lada says:

    LEGENDARY.
Why oh why is it the last day of the duck spree?!?!?! In my universe, every single day is duckSpreeeeSqueee :D !!!!!!!!!

  10. blubby says:

I live close to the lake of constance in Germany. When you go there at night in summer, you’ll hear lots of ducks making this kind of sound. I don’t think it’s snoring, though.

    Very squee btw :)

  11. B says:

But it’s not squee…it’s sad. He’s all cooped up in that dirty barred cage : (

    • im commenting on stupid says:

well there were no other babies huddled around so obviously this was a duck that was seperated from his mother which no person that would care about animals and go on daily squee would do sooooo… it was probably a rescue duckling who would need to feel secure in a small cage

  12. Daphne Moss says:

I feel bad that tiny duckling was awakened! Although he/she looked so excited at the human, no doubt thinking “You’re here! Food, yes?”

  13. elsie says:

Maybe it’s not snoring. Maybe it has pneumonia or some other upper respiratory infection. I’ve never heard of a duck snoring.

    • Molly says:

My friend’s baby gosling snores allllll the time. She has video somewhere too, I think. It’s the freaking cutest thing, and Viole(n)t is definitely not sick.

      • percocet princess says:

My friend had a…litter? (I know that’s not right) of baby ducks that were abandoned and they too snored like this. I’m sure he’s alright (and he looks fine as well)

  14. Birdy says:

Seconding Elsie – been a bird mom too long, those kind of sounds are the cue to go to a vet, pad and wrap a hot water bottle in a lot of thick fluffy towels, and fuss over them with antibiotics.

  15. Jason Zhang says:

    Cuuuuuuuute!

  16. imchatn says:

Gee elsie thanks for that cheery thought!

  17. Saki says:

Reminded me of Sneeze and Cough, my pet ducks when was a kid.

  18. wozzle says:

Duck is adorable; snoring is cute; cage is FILTHY!
I was going to share this link with my sister, who loves ducks, but when I saw how dirty the cage was, I changed my mind because I knew it would upset her.

    • Les says:

I was going to say the exact same thing. I wouldn’t send this to anyone because the cage is disgusting. How can someone keep an animal in that mess?

  19. Rhea says:

But it doesn’t take long for a duck cage to get filthy. When I scrubbed out their wading pool, it took no time at all. It was like they competed to get in first and **** in it. I also learned the hard way that when you take a duck out so you can clean the cage, you shouldn’t lift the duck across your lap.

That said, yes, the snoring is very cute. One of our cats could be heard snoring from two rooms away, and he wasn’t sick.

  20. Sorcha says:

    omfg it’s sooooooooooooo cute!!!!!!!!!!!

  21. The Green Pirate says:

Waaaaay too cute for words. <3

  22. Sspin says:

OMG this is the most adorable thing ever!!!!! This is where cartoon “Zzzzzzz” s came from. this makes me want to simultaneously throw up and squish a patita!!! (my version of a nose-booping?)

  23. kohii says:

    Aaaaaawww!

  24. fuzzyzombielove says:

    “hwaaaaaaaaah”

  25. Janet says:

    Too, too sweet!

  26. Moody says:

Not so cute when you realize that it probably has the beginning a serious upper respiratory infection. :/ Wheezing like that is faaar from cute in poultry world.

  27. RaRa says:

I swear it’s so squeetastic it’s physically painful to watch!

  28. maxsteele2 says:

Funny. I thought the cutest sound ever was the sound Sonic the Hedgehog made when he breathed in a big bubble in an underwater stage.

  29. :-) waffle gnome says:
