Squee! My friend has a pet hedgehog! I’ve always wondered how to hold one of those. Could anyone give me some insight? Cuz he’s so cute and I just want to pick him up without getting a handful of prickles!!!!!!!!!
Gardening gloves. I had a hedgie until very recently (she got old, unfortunately), and never picked her up without my “hedgehog handling gloves”. I bought them at Target for about $5. Just make sure they have a leather or suede patch on the palms/fingers. Otherwise, a doubled-up hand towel works well if you’re careful.
Having had a hedgehog for several years, I must admit my first thought on seeing this picture was “brave human isn’t wearing gloves”.
