  30. Akhuna says:

def. a skinny pig. My best friend has a Guinea Pig shelter for abosed and abandoned piggies, and among the 30 “normal” Pigs, she also has 3 skinny pigs. They are naked except for the feet and the nose, and a few hair aroud their necks. they are very strong in character and although they are smaller than the average hairy guinea pig, they can be quite pushy :_D They also are quite intelligent, learned begging, escaping and re-entering the guinea pig room (which is being tolerated ^^) and lotsa stuff more.

ALso, the ones she has really like to be cuddled. They feel very hot to the touch, because they lack fur to keep body warmth. They need a lot to eat too, they need the energy for warming up. In winter they need a heating lamp above their home.

  31. Jackie says:

You’re spot on! Here’s a link to a photo of a hairless Baldwin guinea pig which looks remarkably like the photo: http://exoticpets.about.com/od/guineapigs/ss/skinnypigs_3.htm
