Gah! So cute! ALSO: Someone commented recently that they’ve noticed the lack of anti-Chinchilla captions lately, and wondered if the DailySquee writer has changed. No, it’s still me. I’ve just decided to suppress my chinchilla rage for the good of the community. You guys can’t deal with how much chinchillas rub me the wrong way! Look at that smug little face… I MEAN, “so cute!”

Copy & paste this:

I used to have a chin and he was cute little thing. I have to give him up after I had my daughter though. He ended getting killed by a ferret. Now I hate ferrets. I no longer think they are cute, just mean and sneaky.
It’s stupid to hate a predator for being a predator. Should be obvious that a chinchila wouldn’t be safe with a ferret; the same goes for cats and dogs. You should hate the person that allowed this to happen instead.
aww! <3
I don’t like ferrets. They are just sneaky, mean little creatures. This ferret actually squeezed through the cage bars and attacked him. I don’t know how he managed to get in there but he did. He’s well fed so it’s not like he was hungry.
I’ve never been around a sweet ferret…..they might look cute but that’s the extent of their cuteness.
And one more thing, who says you can’t have cats and dogs together? I know plenty of people who have both. I used to have a lab along with my cats and they always got along.
Whoever owned that ferret was doing something wrong. Well fed does not mean well cared for, or well trained. my ferrets are sweet, and have never tried to get in the chinchilla cage. And depending on the food he was giving, he may not have been getting his protein requirements, leading him, a weasel, to attack a rodent. A cat would do it, a dog would probably do it, unless trained extensively to not. Rodents are seen as food. Thats nature, and it won’t realign millions of years of evolution to suit humans.
It’s like people that hate coyotes for being coyotes and eating their dog/cat/whatever. It’s nature. Don’t like it, don’t have animals you can’t properly take care of.
Sorry for the long rant, but ignorance, in any form, annoys me.
Exactly. Would you hate a cat for being a cat and killing a mouse? No animal is mean unless made that way by a person. We have both ferrets and chinchillas, and they are separated at all times because we’re not stupid. Ferrets are not mean, sneaky, vicious little creatures purposely out to ruin lives. It’ all in how they are raised.
Woah! How can anyone HATE a chinchilla? WTF?

+3. how can you love rats/mice and hate chinchillas too? i mean, really? ):
HOw can ANYONE not like Chinchillas?
They’re insanely amazing! I want a pet chinchilla sooooo bad. He shall be a boy chinchilla. And I shall call him Vanilla. And he will be my buddy forever and ever.
“Vanilla Chinchilla” is the name of my hard drive. Chinchillaman is the name of my pet chinchilla because he’s a freaking ninja superhero! I love that little guy more than any other caged pet I’ve ever had because he’s awesome! He has personality, cuteness to the max and super cool ninja moves. But you have to know how to take care of them. Keep them cool, well fed and have enough room for him to jump around the cage and enough playtime outside of the cage. They’re not hamsters, they actually require quite a bit of care and time, at least as much as a cat if not a dog. But, if you treat them right, chins can live for up to 15 years. Unlike most caged pets which live 2-3 years if well cared for.
How have I missed the chinchilla rage? And I’m not sure I’m catching the smugness vibe >.< Then again, my pets are just pets, not kids. I never have been one of those people…
i love those little round ears!!!
I want to rub his tiny chin until he passes out.
Well, he does look cute enough to … eat …. If I were a ferret.
lol, totally >3
“You guys can’t deal with how much chinchillas rub me the wrong way! Look at that smug little face… I MEAN, “so cute!””
Those three dots are there to mask the sound of the 5,000-volt Pavlovian electroshock conditioning therapy we use here at the Society for Quiescence of Ultra-Extreme Emotions (SQUEE) for people with Specific Anti-Animal Psychosis. This therapy, combined with aversion therapy, judicious amounts of medication and lots of floof, will have the patient cured in no time – and the twitching goes away after a few months.
I simply cannot fathom how someone can’t admit chinchillas are adorable. Far more adorable than 90% of the dogs on here. :\
How can you not like Chinchillas? I have one and have for 14 years. She is the sweetest thing ever, never bites and does nothing but love. If anyone gets one as a pet please realize you are getting a long living animal. So many people get rid of them after a few years but chinchillas can live to be 20. So cute!!!
