
Yesterday’s reindeer was cute, but he was missing those iconic horns! This guy’s got ‘em, and from the looks of him, they’re pretty recent! He looks young… and wet! I don’t know what happened to his fur but it looks super cute!

CAT is correct….they are not horns, they are antlers. Antlers are shed each season, while horns are not.
AND…..female reindeer have antlers, too, and much later in the year than males. So, actually, all nine of Santa’s reindeer would have been female!

You are correct. This is an adult FEMALE reindeer. Females have smaller antlers than males.
Antlers aren’t the same as horns as other have mentioned.
