Squee Spree: Baby Reindeer’s New Horns

Cute Baby Animals - Baby Reindeer

Yesterday’s reindeer was cute, but he was missing those iconic horns! This guy’s got ‘em, and from the looks of him, they’re pretty recent! He looks young… and wet! I don’t know what happened to his fur but it looks super cute!

  1. CAT says:

Wouldn’t you call those antlers instead of horns?!!!

  2. Linda says:

But, but, but…..while his nose is totally boopable, IT’S NOT RED!!! I feel cheated somehow!

  3. Bird Girl says:

CAT is correct….they are not horns, they are antlers. Antlers are shed each season, while horns are not.

AND…..female reindeer have antlers, too, and much later in the year than males. So, actually, all nine of Santa’s reindeer would have been female!

  4. Rachel says:

Antlers aren’t the same as horns as other have mentioned.

    Um…I don’t see any horns?
That reindeer has antlers, but I can’t seem to find any “iconic horns”…
