Lynx Kittens

Lynx Kittens

OMG! Lynx kitties are so cute. I love their little ear spike thingies. They look like little Pokemons! Do you think they can pick up radio signals with those antenna?

Ear tufts. Not ‘little spike ear thingies’. ;)

    They are so friggin’ squee!!!

  3. kat says:

    These are the extreme kittens!

  4. Daveo says:

The ear tuffs help the Lynx hear ultrasonic “squeaks” that rodents make to each other to communicate. Felis catus (the domestic cat) can hear the same sonic-squeaks without the tuffs, but they have a slightly different ancestry or evolutionary history. from Happy cat.

    • Shrapnel says:

Though some domestic breeds, the Maine Coon, Norwegian Forest Cats and a few others also have the tufts. Cat genetics is fascinating…as opposed to the kitteh jean-pool which is actually a deep pile of trousers out of the dryer.

manx cats have the ear tufts too…my brother-in-law has one and she looks just like a lynx but she is maybe 1/4 the size or a regular cat

Pft. Radio signals? More like brain waves. You don’t have to broadcast — they know what you’re thinking already. XD
