OMG BABY PLATYPUS!!!!

cute baby animals - OMG BABY PLATYPUS!!!!

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP. This is the cutest little bundle of wrinkles I have ever seen in my entire life! Platypuses are sooooo weird, but for some reason I’ve always found them totally adorable… and their itty bitty babies are no exception!

I kinda just want to put it in my pocket and take it with me everywhere I go. Except then I’d have to share its squeeness with other people… and I’m not gonna lie, I’m really, really jealously possessive of all things squee in my life.

if it’s a male, be mindful of the venomous spurs on his hind legs… I read that the pain can be excruciating for weeks if not months if you were to be stung by those aforementioned spurs…

But i agree with you, they are kind a cute… even if they looks like God’s leftovers!

I consider the platypus proof that God has a sense of humor. He just saved the fun stuff for Down Under!

    • MJ says:

Just to clarify, the pain from the venom itself only lasts a few hours (though is incredibly excruciating according to some anecdotes) but the after effects can include hypersensitivity to pain around the affected area which can last days to months.

    • MutinousBell says:

“Scientists generally use “platypuses” or simply “platypus”. Colloquially the term “platypi” is also used for the plural, although this is technically incorrect and a form of pseudo-Latin;[6] the correct Greek plural would be “platypodes”.”
