Back Off! He’s Mine!

cute baby animals - Back Off! He's Mine!

I’m sorry itty bitty fawn! I don’t want to impose on your adorable cuddling time with your sweet little kitty friend… but would you mind if I maybe just napped off to one side of you? My brain can’t even handle how squee you are together, and I need to lay down for a while I think.

That kitteh looks particularly fuzzy… might it be a baby bobcat? It would go along with the whole *wild animal* theme.

    And zomogoggles… So very Squee!

  2. Ashley says:

I wonder if having a wild creature friend will keep a baby fawn from imprinting on humans (they imprint EXTREMELY easily and then become a danger if they are released to the wild). I’d like to read more about this! :)

  3. Lucy says:

This is one of my ALL TIME favourite pictures. Yes it is a bobcat kitten. You can google “bobcat and fawn” and find out how they became friends – I won’t spoil it all but lets just say they were rescued together. Such a wonderful story.

  4. Rainfyre says:

OMG – is that a BOBCAT cub curled up with the fawn? The sqeeness factor just blew my brain circuits. Oh man, to have a bobcat…..(I know, I know, wild animals belong in the wild but I can wish and help in whatever way I can!) :)

  5. Erin says:

    Well don’t fawn over them!

  6. Czaerana says:

    My head just sploded!

  7. Muriel says:

  10. Christina says:

I know this picture and that isn’t just a kitty it’s a bob cat. They are rescues from a fire in my town. You can read more about the pair here: http://www.peachygreen.com/wildlife/bobcat-and-fawn-find-friendship-after-fire

    • Rainfyre says:

You have my hopes, prayers and sympathies. I’m from Idaho (currently living in Canada) and we have our share of the fires as well. We had a 225,000 acre one come right up to the hill before our town before they got it controlled. We had a lot of livestock and wildlife lost and hurt. May your area recover well and the squeeness of the fawn and bobcat go on!

If you want to help the group that rescued them check out this page: http://www.animalrescueteam.net/donate.html

Their gallery also has a lot of other squee pictures, but there are also some heartbreaking ones (injured animals etc.)
