I’m in awe.
I think…. I think my life just may be complete…
So cute!
I agree!!!
Oh. My. Gosh. So much cute! *head asplode*
May seems like a strange detail to fixate on, but I LOVE their little chins when they throw their heads back and howl!! (the wolf, not the guy)
No, I totally agree!
Yep, that’s what we all noted in this office! Too cute for words! The high pitch of the baby’s howl is to die for!
Not unlike the guy who lived with Bears for 13 years…then he got himself and his girlfriend eaten. Good Idea, might have some bad consequences….
Wolves may be wild animals, too, but they are a bit smaller for one. That, and there’s a reason why wolves were able to be domesticated as pets, but not bears. Apples and oranges. Also, the bear guy was encroaching on bears already living in the wild. This is someone who cared for abandoned cubs and is reintroducing them to the wild. There’s really no comparison.
Jane Goodall’s gorilla studies were probably riskier than what this man is doing, for example. I know I’d rather take my chances with a 175 lb wolf than with a 400 lb gorilla.
My biggest concern would be rabies. I wonder if they were vaccinated.
If he’s caring for abandoned cubs, I would think so.
he actually has like a whole wolf pack that he has managed to intergrate into. this is probably one of the cubs he managed to pick up for a while. effectively he is babysitting.
But this is adorable, I cant believe this is soo close to my house as well.
Where is this place?? It is tremendous!!!
Jane Goodall studied chimps. I don’t know if they’re more or less dangerous than gorillas. They’re smaller, but I think they live in bigger groups and have more volatile temperaments.
Dian Fossey = gorilla gal
Oh my goodness! SOOOO CUUUUUTE! *faints*
Wow! Not only was that cute, but his howling was amazing. Both of my cats started growling as soon as the man started howling.
ooohhhh! How cute!
*splort*
My brain is on a squee overdose.
Oh no! Squoverdose!
So. Much. WANT.
I want to boop both of them on the nose!!
AIGH! AAAAIGH!! WHY IS IT SO CUTE!!
Just the little ball of floof is squee worthy, but add in the squeaky first howls and its a deadly combination of adorable!
Dingo’s kidneys!
OMGsh, this made me cry, so sweet!
Ohhhh, me too!
Me too. :’3
*heart meltdown*
He’s a real-life Elyas Machera! ^_^ Get the reference, win a prize!*
(*Not really)
Sigh…the Wheel turns.
First the video made my day, then YOU made my day. I’ve had my day made twice.
I have tears in my eyes… that was too primal for the wee cub! It was indifferent to human speech, but couldn’t resist “the call of the wild” and had to throw its head back in ecstasy, to join in with his surrogate one-man-clan….
This guy is Shaun Ellis, very cool dude. He’s been on a couple Discovery type shows, and even had a series called “Living with the Wolfman”. He’s one of the few, if only, people to successfully intergrate himself into wolfpacks. He’s helping the world understand how wolves call and socialize by learning it himself. He was on Stan Lee’s Superhumans as well, and when viewing the sound in wavelength form, his howl is identical to a wolf’s.
Thanks for the info.:)
Apparently it may be one-man, but it’s a bigger clan. Followed links and googled and I’ve just spent 3 hours watching everything I can find on the guy and his wolves. Hows that for squeeliciousness. I may be almost blind now but I’m squeeed.
yes, this guy is amazing and has worked with wolves all over the world. The cub is just gorgeous.
Awww! The cutest ever …. I want one!!! (could you imagine the neighbours when it started howling in the middle of the night. LOL)
What about walking it?
Neighbor: you walking your dog?
Me: nope, I’m walking my wolf
Neighbor: O-O
Aww so adorable!
oh my goodness how adorable is that. Bravo for the “wolfman” to take on the task of raising the abandoned wolfs. the howl was awsome
Wow, the “wolfman”‘s howls sound so real. Amazing. But it was even squeeer when the cub tries to do it, too. Squeeee!!
Also, that man has something so fascinating about him, like he really knows how to live in the wilderness…
SO. PRECIOUS.
Too adorable for words!
First time i saw their special on Discovery Channel, my cat, Tonya sat and made threat displays at the TV when the pack started howling, ears flat back, back arched, lips curled back…soon as the howling was done, she hid under the couch for a good 20 minutes
Haha nice! My cat’s never are bothered by dogs on tv, just other cats. My one cat, Buzz, was fascinated with the Awesome Pawsome!
Gave me chills, thrills, squee, and tears in my eyes.;)
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. G-d soooooooooooooooooo cute. And the cub wasn’t bad either.
I wouldn’t mind doing something like that…of course, with me, the little thing would learn how to purr and meow.
I think he’s howling “Get this smelly hippy freak away from me!!!”
SQUEE <3
It is now my life dream to teach a little wolf pup to howl. My life will not be complete until I do this.
This is Sean Ellis, pictured with wolf pup Tamaska (the black one). The three cubs shown in this video are Yana, Matsi and Tamaska, and are now fully grown and live at Combe Martin Zoo in Devon, UK.
Yana, Matsi and Tamaska were raised from a very young age by Sean, who does a regular presentation inside their enclosure at the zoo entitled “Howling With Wolves”.
These wolves are in no way domesticated. They have been raised and treated as wild animals, and live in a secured predator cage in a zoo. I’ve happily had the pleasure of seeing them first hand.
Sean was originally the dominant member in their small pack, but after leaving the country to take part in another wolf project, has returned at a lower rank. His documentaries detail the requirement for him to stick to a meat-only diet so that he smells right and the wolves accept him. He also wears a very dirty coat when he visits the wolves, which has a collection of the scents of the pack and other vital scent information.

I cried. And smiled.
Absolutely amazing. Wolves are so wonderful.
