VIDEO: Heroic Puppy Rescue

Okay, so the music is a little melodramatic for my tastes… but this act of doggy dogoodery is so heartwarming, I don’t even care about the sappy soundtrack!

You’d think the guy shooting the video would have done something. All the same, hooray for the canine hero!

    • Someone says:

Tough love. The big dog’s help was more encouragement than actual help, and if the human had helped the smaller dog out, what would that dog have learned?

The little dog was, as you could see, quite capable of getting out, he/she was just too scared to. Besides, as someone said, this probably happens often enough.

  2. M says:

Nice of the cameraperson to just keep filming while the little dog yelped. Classy. Not sure how Squee this is.

    • Kate says:

Seriously. When my dog whines, I’m finding out what’s wrong and making with the fixes. I don’t go get the camera.

      • Someone says:

What better way to teach a dog that it’s okay to get stuck under things than to bail them out every time?

  3. TheColdOne says:

The smaller dog might just be stupid and do this all of the time. Hence why the owner knew to get the video camera to show the bigger dog helping to pull it out.

  4. brob says:

i love the pic at the end – they’re holding hands!

  5. LaLaLa says:

    “doggy dogoodery” – ha!

  6. ......... says:

Video does not load past 1 second.

  7. Christina says:

I must admit that I started laughing hysterically when the music started. It’s obvious that the puppy isn’t in danger, just scared. He’s probably done this many times, and the owner was letting him figure out how to get out on his own. That’s the way they learn!

  8. Latte says:

As soon as the poor puppy started yelping, I just went “awwww.” Instant melting.

  9. AIS says:

It appears the dog was purposely placed under this furniture to film. Please take good care of your animals and don’t put them in situations that will cause them to stress or that could harm them! This was sweet seeing how another animal reacted but I wonder about the person who is suppose be caring for the needs of his animals. It feels like it is on the verge of going a little to far. I hope the camera person doesn’t normally do this kind of thing because it could be endangering the health and wellbeing of their animals!
