Have you ever owned 1000 head of cattle and depended on the calves to feed your family?? Or so you can go to McDonald’s? Watch a cat kill 2 or 3 everynite for the hell of it and then talk about people out west. They kill for the pure hunt. They usually don’t even eat what they kill.

I love animals as much as anyone. But, I also fish and hunt Whitetail deer. There would be no deer east of the Mississippi if it weren’t for hunters. In fact, they have actually become a nuisance to gardens and driving! I do not condone killing anything if you are not going to eat it. BUT, when you see you prize cow, bull, dog, child or anything you love killed by a cat for the fun of just killing it, you get a different feeling. Cats kill for the pure pleasure and game of KILLING! They are the only animal that does that. A good cat is a dead cat.
If HUNTERS wouldn’t ‘disseize’ the natural prey from wild animals, you would not have to worry about your ‘prize bull’!! Do you really think that you have to ‘murder a buck’ to subsist???

Excuse me, you and Kitzer, but Rick is correct. If controlled hunting season were not used, the deer would multiple at a rate that would cause over-population of their species to the point of self-extermination. Also, while not a huge fan of animal protein, deer is an excellent source of high-quality, lean red meat. If prepared and cooked properly, it has a mild, tender, “non-gamey” taste.
Well, what about the beautiful stags and deer that people are encouraged to kill so that they can stick their heads on the wall and puff out their chest with pride? What about the beautiful polar bears that are being pushed off the planet to satiate peoples lust for oil? Do I need to go on?

Just need to specify. (Im from the west area) yes these cats are breath takingly beautiful but with land flooding people arare forced to migrate forcing the lions to migrate as well and when you’re walking from your car to your house its really scary knowing their watching your everymove. Havent had to kill one yet but thought it was close a few times. But you try and tell me when that 170lb animal is chasing you at 60mph to kill you are you gonna remember their endangered and let her eat you and bring the rest of you back for her babies? I dont think so. I love them but its them or me and i choose me!
Very very good point. Animal activists don’t even factor that in the equasion. as pointed out by jorizzl you don’t have to provoke animals that are really hungry. I’m not talking about getting between cute little black bear cubs and there mom. I’m talking about walking across the street to the neighbor’s house or taking the trash out only to find a very hungry bear already “taking care of the trash” for you. And they can move really fast. If animal activists disagree with me, if I’m supposed to just sacrifice me to the animal because he’s hungry and sees me as food, f*ck you. I too choose me.
Yes, that photo/painting displays the incredible beauty of these animals. But we must always remember: View from a distance or, better yet, view them through glass or bars. They are killers. They are carnivors. They see us as a potential meal, and they will always instinctively attack if not restrained. That’s just the way of nature’s wild animals. They look so peaceful, even tempting us to want to reach out and pet them. If anyone were to do that, they’d come back minus a hand and probably minus an arm.

Big Al, I understand you are an athiest, or at least an agnostic and if that’s your thing than great. I kinda have a mixed bag of beliefs, I think there is a God and that he started things here, way back in the begining of everything and left it to evolve to what it has today. But even evolutionists often have some notion that something special had to have happened as some point. There’s no link between ape to neanderthal or cro magnan (sp) to us, all the bones they’ve found, all the info they’ve uncovered…they’s just no proof of there being a missing link. After all the digging and finding stuff. they would have found something by now. There’s even some “believability to the “Ancient Alien” thing. The belief is that they manipulated the dna of the “cave-man” type beings that were here at the time. That they were the true creaters. I don’t know, I wasn’t there, but the “scribblings by ignorants” isn’t fair. You don’t have any more facts than the believers in God of creation.
Evidence of evolution? Survival-of-the-fittest at best. It’s called the “Missing Link” because it doesn’t exist.

I had cats growing up and had one when I grew up and moved on, his name was rapheal and he was extremely affectionate. Cats, in my opinion, like dogs and many other animals but Cats in particular really know and understand love, in my opinion anyway. It’s amazing how my dog, Jake, can tell when I’m upset about something and there he is, nuzzling my hand or something to let me know he’s “there for me”. That picture above is classic! You just don’t think of “wild animals” of being affectionate and loving. Great pic, I wish I was there to have taken it myself.
