Squee lovers, the winners of this week’s Squee Spree contest are itty bitty weasel babies! I always figured baby weasels were tiny… but I didn’t quite realize just how tiny they actually were until I saw this photo! When your head is hardly larger than a penny, how could you be anything less than unbearably squee?

My mom used to do wildlife rehab, and when I was in high school, we got a couple of baby long-tailed weasels to raise. They were so tiny and cute! We avoided handling them as much as possible, since we were going to release them after they were weaned, so they weren’t friendly, but that didn’t matter because they were so tiny and cute!
Also, my cat’s nickname (well, one of his nicknames) is Weasel, so this week’s squee spree makes me happy!
Very cute, and surprisingly small!!
