A Person On Which to Perch

cute animals - A Person On Which to Perch

Awwwww, itty bitty owl thinks it’s a peregrine falcon! But that’s no falconer’s hand he’s perching on, and he’s far too cute to be such a menacing bird of prey!

He IS a bird of prey. His prey is just smaller than most.

  6. CarrieVS says:

I’d be careful about holding any bird of prey without a glove.

  7. Chester says:

CarrieVS gets it. An owl is basically a knife store with feathers. It’s all kinds of fun to watch people handling tame ones, but their claws and their beaks will cut you up one side ands down the other without even meaning to. Be careful out there.

    • Taerie says:

Cute little guy. But no bird of prey is ever “tame”. Even the birds used by rehabbers for educational purposes are still wild and could inflict severe injury if handled unwisely. Every animal should be respected and treated appropriately.

  8. Jesse says:

Awww, such a squee little birdee. Reminds me of Harry Potter, actually.

    Pigwidgeon!

  10. easol says:

Strictly speaking, the blogger didn’t say it wasn’t a bird of prey… he said it wasn’t a MENACING bird of prey. And given that it’s so teeny and has such chibi proportions, that’s true. Bird of prey, but too cute to be menacing.

  11. Draco says:

oh don’t mind me I’m just a dust bunny with a beak
