Strength training is really important for competitive swimmers, so I always hit the gym to do a few hundred reps after I hit the pool to do a few hundred laps. Some people have accused me of being a workoutaholic, but I rather like to consider myself merely devoted to my occupation and one true love. Which is swimming, of course. Eating flies is a close second love, but swimming wins the most prized spot in my heart (most days, at least).

I really hope that’s not fishing line, but it looks like it is. If I see any of that stuff near a pond shoreline or anywhere else, I pick it up, cut it completely out of bushes, take it home and toss it in a sealed bag to throw in the trash. Animals can get caught up in it and starve, cut wounds in their legs, and even get gangrene from the tightening tangles.
If you see fishing line left behind, think of the animals and get rid of it safely!
poor froggie.
He looks like he’s choking.
No fishing line, they are roots of the floating duckweed.
