What happened to Dreaming of Puppies and Dreaming of Kittens?
There was a carbon dioxide leak at the old website, and all the puppies and kittens were getting a little too drowsy, so we relocated them here for safety reasons. We have special pages that show only pictures of sleeping puppies or kittens for those of you that simply cannot stand the sight of conscious animals.

I really liked the “Dreaming of Kittens” site and am exceptionally saddened to see it merged with this other site. For a site that purports to be about cuteness, the header on this Daily Squee site is FUGLY. I am perfectly aware that I can sort out the kitten pics, which I intend to do, but the overall layout on this new site is seriously wretched. Please consider changing it to something that is actually cute. Something one could, you know, actually squee over. I recommend kittens.
Oh dear I thought there was a lovely site about sleepy kittens. This isn’t what my friend showed me at all. I mean people like us jus want KITTENS.

I have to agreen with Kathleen that I’m very sad to see “Dreaming of Kittens” merged with “Dreaming of Puppies” and more so with “Daily Squee”. I don’t care for dogs that much, but they were kinda cute at least. I haven’t found anything nice in the Daily Squee. Even if the sites are merged, perhaps you can still run 3 separate feeds?

There *really* should be a separate RSS feed for the kitten and puppy categories.
Why do you even have the dreamingofkittens.com domain if it just redirects to dailysquee.com (not even to the sub-category page)?
And I agree that the header is anything but squee-worthy.
I personally love seeing more than kittens! Kittens are adorable but they’re everywhere! I especially love the zoo babies section!!

Man, I go away for a weekend and come back and wtf? No more kittens? I thought there was enough of an audience to merit the dreamingofkittens site without having to combine it with the others. Maybe it’s an issue of manpower on the other end, as I’m sure it’s easier to keep up with just the one site, but I am disappointed to say the least. Taking dreamingofkittens off my bookmarks just makes me sad.
It’s the same here. I subscribed to the RSS feed of Dreaming Of Kittens, and suddenly I get dogs, other animals, and AWAKE cats. WTF? I’ve unsubscribed and resubscribed thinking it would stay tagged “Dreaming with Kittens” but now it’s merged fully into the main feed. I’m unsubscribing again. Notify ICanHasCheezburger when it’s back to sleeping kittens again.

I don’t like that Dreaming of Kittens has been adulterated with images of kittens who are awake. I much prefer to see sleeping kittens all by themselves. I feel the same way about the puppies site. Both are so adorable when they are asleep. If you want to merge them, make it a sleeping baby animal site, not one with wide-awake animals.
As the other person said, the header monkey is ugly, not something that makes you go all mushy inside. Squees should be just beyond adorable. Not all the pictures here are “squee-worthy”. I am disappointed by this site.
Yes, it is a shame… Dreaming of Kittens was a fabulous site. I don’t think I will be here so often anymore… unless it changes to the dreaming, the lovely sleeping of kitties… This seems more like a nightmare…

Honestly, what is the big deal? It’s pretty sad when people get butthurt over the fact that there are pictures of awake kittens on a website, or that said website now has pictures of other animals, awake or otherwise, on it. I think it’s important to remember two things, here. One is that a website with cute animals on it is of little to no importance when compared to, say, decisions in international affairs. (If you want your voice to be heard, why not do some research and focus your energies on making a difference in the world?) The second is that the website is meant to be for everyone, and if, by merging the two, the owner of the site can get more hits I’d say he/she did the right thing.

Really? All animals are cute. If you don’t like the new pics then use the filter. That is why its there.
Please, for all of our sakes, let’s not turn this site into the drama convention that Cute Overload became. Think of this as a fresh start for cute on the internet.

Just goes to show, “squee is in the eye of the beholder”. I think the multi-species squee format is excellent. Much more entertaining and endearing than endless images of dead, er, sleeping fuzzies.
However, if anyone ever messed with icanhazcheezburger, I would, sadly, have to hurt them.Hey! They’ve got some sleeping kitties there! Lets go take a peek…
I think the website is adorable! I have far too many sites to check everyday so by merging 2 sites I would’ve checked in to 1, i save like…10 seconds of my life! Fantastic!! Can’t the people who used to go to dreaming of kittens just bookmark http://dailysquee.com/category/dreaming-of-kittens/ and get over it? I would have thought anyone who wanted to go to such a site would be a good person who didn’t hate the world. Mayhaps I was wrong.
Also, why is it only the cat ladies who have a problem?
This site is kyoot and I personally lubb it. It’s not smothered in stupid ads either.

How can you call yourselves “DAILY” squee when you don’t update on the weekends? Weekends have days. And yeah..the banner sucks. But I do appreciate the revamp….sleeping cats, sleeping dogs…just too much of one thing and got a little dull.
