Squee Spree: Tiger Family Sticks Together

Double video, what does it mean!? I wanted to show you two videos of the same tiger family. In the first video, they are cute little babies walking around behind their mother like ducklings. Look at the little yellow circles on the backs of their ears! They’re extremely rare Malayan tigers! In the second video, they’re a year old and still pretty cute but not-so-baby-like, but they still play together as adults…
Apparently it’s pretty uncommon for tiger families to stay close as adults. Even though these tigers were raised by their mother and not by people (because they’re so rare, the zookeepers wanted them to maintain their natural instincts and only interfered with medical check-ups) they still exhibit unusually playful and loving behavior as adults. When they get a little older the four brothers will be sent off to other zoos to start their own families and pass on their instincts and culture and stuff to their own cubs! It’s the circle of squee.

Awww, few things are cuter than watching a baby animal struggle against falling asleep. And tigers are no exception! I think this might even be the same cub from Monday. Look at him noddin’ off!

Aw, this white tiger cub had to be separated from its mother because experts thought she might turn on him for not looking like one her own (due to his white coat). I dunno if all white tiger cubs go through that, but maybe the mother was already showing signs of aggression..? Anyway, look! Now this lucky person has a perfectly good excuse to raise a white tiger cub like a house cat! Or maybe more like a human baby. That cub is so big! Could you imagine wrestling with a kitty that size?

Aww, is there anything cuter then parenthood? Babies are cute but they look so much cuter when they’re next to their parents, then you can see how they look like a “mini” version of a big scary thing. Which in turn makes the parents cuter! … I want my cat to have kittens already!
