Strength training is really important for competitive swimmers, so I always hit the gym to do a few hundred reps after I hit the pool to do a few hundred laps. Some people have accused me of being a workoutaholic, but I rather like to consider myself merely devoted to my occupation and one true love. Which is swimming, of course. Eating flies is a close second love, but swimming wins the most prized spot in my heart (most days, at least).

Squee lovers, today’s Creepicute contestants are food flagging frog tadpoles! This interesting breed of amphibian inherited their name based on the unique way in which the adult versions (below) wave to each other in order to communicate.

I know frogs aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, so tell me, squee lovers… are these itty bitty tadpoles creepy or cute?

Stand back ladies and gentlemen, lest I accidentally injure one of you with one of my dazzling flying kicks! Martial arts are serious business, and frog fu is no exception! This performance is intended to demonstrate and entertain… injury is not an expectation at all! So please, if you could just stay on the sidelines and let me do all the flashy work here, I’d greatly appreciate it!

Trapeze? Hammock? Apparently when you’re a squee lil’ frog you ain’t even gotta differentiate between the two!

OH MAN. Investing in this Winnebago Lily Pad (TM) really was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! The freedom and mobility it offers me when I just want to up and take a spin around the lake for a weekend is just incredible! Camping has never been easier or more fun! I know some people might call me lazy or weak, having foregone the concept of “roughing it” for the relative comforts of home on the water… but I couldn’t care less! It’s just too convenient!

Mama always told me I could be whatever I wanted to be when I grew up… and I’ve recently realized that what I want to be, more than anything else in the whole wide world, is a happy bouncy frog! I mean, frogs are just so awesome! They are colorful, and cute, and athletic, and they have suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper long tongues! Why would anyone NOT want to be a frog?
So yeah, I figure I need to start practicing basically IMMEDIATELY if I want to make this dream come true, so I’ve been doing tongue exercises for hours every day. I think I’m making progress… don’t you?
