In honor both of this otter tot and my love of puns, I’ve decided that I shall henceforth start calling baby otters rolling on the ground “joyriding.”
This lovely video documents the first exam ever for Seattle Aquarium’s latest otter pup. Its mother Aniak was trained to bring the pup to the biologists, thanks to patience on the biologists’ part and a decent amount of seafood-as-positive reinforcement.
Suffice to say, everything about this video is unbearably squee.
I don’t know about you, but I’m as entranced by this video as the otters in it seem to be by their newfound butterfly friend.

Yeah, that’s right, I conned a ghost into showing me the way down here. I deciphered the codes in that creepy journal belonging to some freak named Tom Riddle. And I did a bunch of other stuff along the way too, and it was all worth it! Because the Chamber of Secrets is filled with nothing but an endless supply of noms. Which is pretty much the best thing a secret chamber could ever be filled with, if you ask me!

Love is in the air today here on Daily Squee! Of course, that might be because it’s Interspecies Love day… but I don’t know, I’m just feeling very romantic right now! And all of our animal friends seem to be in agreement, so I figured we should celebrate the romance with a lovely collection of some of the lovey-doveyest squees around! I hope you all enjoy them as much as I do!
